Operations Research Analyst

Through our proprietary cloud-hosted energy management platform, WatchWire identifies and analyzes the interactive effects of operational and capital improvements on utility supply and delivery costs; measures, verifies, and reports on key performance indicators; and summarizes the results for key decision makers.

What you’ll do:
The Operations Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting statistical analyses and financial analyses, devising and implementing operations research models, analyzing energy management issues and providing solutions for such issues, preparing strategic analyses, developing strategic plans, managing services development, and devising and implementing energy management solutions. The job duties will include analyzing management and operations problems, formulating mathematical and simulation models, defining data requirements and validating information with the application of statistical tools, performing validation and the testing of models, conducting operations reviews, and recommending action for improvements in operations.
The Operations Research Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties: Respond to email, live chat, and phone inquiries from existing clients and pilot prospects- Serve as the initial point of contact for issues regarding WatchWire’s internal and externally facing applications including customer portals; perform analysis on reported data issues, resolve where possible, and escalate when necessary; Diagnose, identify, and resolve client’s technical issues, escalating when necessary 1)Manage KTLO activities such as executing and monitoring data migration, reporting batch jobs and platform releases; Conduct in-depth investigations leveraging large and complex data set issues using SQL. 2) Analyze data infrastructure (data pipelines, aggregated data sets, reports, dashboards) to monitor the performance of our operations and drive business understanding; Advise client end users on the best way to use the software to meet their needs Explain technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to varied audiences and experience translating business objectives into actionable analyses; Document troubleshooting efforts and resolutions into company ticketing application Perform business analysis and document requirements for system enhancements that reduce production support, increase efficiency, or eliminate expense; engage in testing to ensure quality delivery of these enhancements; Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to work through technical issues Perform/monitor data integrity and consistency tests on the data warehouse while evaluating the Business intelligence tools to be integrated; Assist prospects during their trial period to ensure they understand the product; Functionality and explain data science initiatives; Work in coordination with Customer Success Managers to expand customer adoption of the application Proposing tools and implementing improvements to the proprietary software and internal processes to increase customer engagement; Introducing data science models to improve the accuracy of predictions on the software for various modules used by the customers; Promote a self-service culture by referencing existing support tools Focus on process and continuous improvement of core metrics through automation and process enhancement; Assist Customer Success and Implementation teams as directed 1)Focus on process and continuous improvement of core metrics through automation and process enhancement. 2) Applies analytic methods and tools to understand, and/or control operations and processes as requested by business owners on an ad-hoc basis; Assist Executive team as needed, including, but not limited to, performing the following projects: 1). Identify operational pain points and establish a program by defining goals, metrics and trackers resulting in improved collaboration between customer success and development team, 2)Develop compelling analyses to execute data-informed initiatives using internal and external data (e.g., tickets, user growth, vendor capacity, trends) to derive insights that will drive strategic business decisions and help improve our support channels, productivity, and quality at scale and 3) Inform, influence, and execute new strategies and tactics using statistical analysis and impact metrics to support your positions
This position will support the efforts of the Company to successfully build its services and maximize the efficiency of our business operations. The job duties of the position encompass management analysis, operations, budgeting, and scheduling. The Operations Research Analyst will contribute functional expertise in the provision of business intelligence solutions, the development of performance management and solutions, and the creation and implementation of business process, customization and configuration. The Operations Research Analyst will be critical in improving and streamlining the Company’s operations through collecting, defining, and analyzing data and statistical tests to design and develop forecasting and optimization models. The Operations Research Analyst will formulate operations research issues, conduct operational studies, and research industry standards as well as establish research methodologies for surveys and demographic data, collect data, prepare analytical studies, conduct statistical analyses, and generate projections of customer preferences and market trends.
