Guide to Measurement and Verification

When investing in new equipment or implementing a new operational strategy for your business, it is crucial to measure and verify your savings.  To do this properly, it is not enough to just compare year-over-year numbers on utility bills.  Instead, a measurement & verification (M&V) plan must be in place to account for all external factors, such as occupancy, production levels, or operational schedules, that could be affecting those numbers.  Many times, efficiency projects have indirect or ambiguous outcomes that do not directly lower energy bills, leading them to be thought of as a failure.  However, with the inclusion of M&V, efficiency project outcomes can be adequately analyzed and altered to receive the most cost-effective results.

Download our complete guide to M&V for everything you need to know to make your energy efficiency projects successful in 2020.
