Trace3’s Long-Term Goals

In recent years, Trace3 made the decision to focus on sustainability and reporting because they believed it was a core piece of their company’s mission statement of lifting communities. Further validating their intentions, Trace3 began to recognize that there was an underlying need for greater ESG and sustainability reporting information across multiple client criteria and RFPs under the scope of their operations. In response, Trace3 began developing an ESG program internally, and are continuously committed to improving their environmental reporting processes. They proactively structured a team around Facilities Management and Sustainability so they could formalize the process of collecting utility data and set a benchmark to base their sustainability performance on.  In the process of acquiring sustainability data for the first time, they came to realize just how extensive and difficult to manage ESG data can be –  the data needed to be gathered from disparate sources was siloed across teams hindering the flow of information, and data was often lacking cohesion and completeness.  To meet reporting deadlines in 2022, they faced unexpected burdens on time and resources in order to manually deliver the data needed for reports like CDP, Ecovadis, and SBTI.

This is where WatchWire came in.  Not only did WatchWire support their data needs, but it freed up time for their team to get to work on writing an environmental policy, and submitting sustainability reports, which will aid in the long-term goal of setting SBTI-certified goals. WatchWire supports Trace3 in every step of their sustainability journey.  Starting with automated utility invoice data, WatchWire helped Trace3 eliminate error-prone manual data efforts and develop an assured process that catches and alerts of any errors or missing data.  Additionally, WatchWire helped Trace3 submit their CDP report for the second year, expecting much better results when they are released later this year.  Finally, Trace3 plans to utilize WatchWire’s goal-tracking features to enable transparent reporting to their internal and external stakeholders once their long-term sustainability goals are set.
